Hi there,

I'm having this problem on a G4 MDD running Jag 10.2.6. It happens with both a firewire and a usb card reader. The card does not show up on the desktop, but if you open iPhoto you can import the photos from the card. Disconnocting the cable gives the usual error about properly disconnecting a device. Hooked the same 2 card readers to different systems and they worked fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

i had this problem also. managed to find a fix for my issue... hopefully it will fix yours. check out this thread..
