In Disk Utilities, the "Install Mac OS 9 Drivers" option in Erase and Partition does not exist on a 12" PBG4. I saw it before in 10.2.8, and it's on a iBook G3 800MHz on Panther, but not on a 12" PBG4 when panther is installed. Any advice on how to enable this? I'd like to use my PBG4 to reimage OS 9 booting macs, but I'd have to downgrade back to Jaguar because the target disk does not have OS 9 disk drivers installed.

Mac OS 9 drivers are already installed or not on that FireWire drive. Since you're only formatting a partition, that option isn't shown -- if you click on the whole drive it would be.

edit: Never mind... saw image 3. Sorry!

If youo boot off the Panther install disc and run Disk Utility from there, does it show up?

Panther's Disk Utility will no longer show the OS 9 Drivers option for Macs that can't boot OS 9.
