how to determine up time?

How can you tell how long your mac has been on if you didnt count when u started up your mac?
Powerbook 12" 1GHZ, 1.25GB of RAM

open terminal and type "uptime" (no quotes).

I use a freeware app called, appropriately, uptimeinmenubar.

You can also put your uptime in your Dock with an app called "Vanity Dockling." Visit VersionTracker.

my favorite is menumeters (check version tracker) b/c it tells me bandwith usage, cpu, usage and uptime. check it out.
