I just did my 10.3.1 update and when I got home I tried to start working (using my wireless keyboard) and the bluetooth system does not seem to startup and the pref pane hangs...

Anyone else having issues?

Just following up on my first post. I can not get the bluetooth system started at all. Anything that seems to call it hangs. I've logged in as root and attempted to test it there....same problems. WTF? Has anyone had any problems w/ apple's build it bluetooth?

Even when it shows (off) in the prefs.. it still slows down the system for an extended period of time when trying to access anything on the bluetooth prefs panel... I have a brand new 12in PB.

Called apple, after a few times on hold I got a fix. This Bluetooth fix should solve a number a possible issues.

There is a file called blued.plist in /private/var/root/Library/Prefrences/

After renaming or removing that file and the accompanying com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file in the same directory all my problems are gone.

Essentially wipes all bluetooth info from the system. The blued.plist file seems to correspond to the process with the same name that runs as root. If you are having any problems with Bluetooth then this could solve them.
