Ok, I upgraded to 10.3 last night (from 10.2). When I started with Disk 1, there was a message that I should have Disk 2 ready. Fine, no problem. However, when it came time to put in Disk 2, it was not recognized. I tried several times, and each time it was ejected. So I thought: great, I'm half way through, and now I'm screwed. The only thing I could do was click Cancel. The next message said: ok, if you want to add these apps later, just put Disk 2 back in. So then I figure maybe it's ok.

Anyway, 10.3 came up fine, and as far as I can tell I have all the functionality and all the updated apps (Mail, iChat, etc.). So now I'm wondering what's on Disk 2 that I missed. I assume it must be the iLife apps (which I already have the latest of).

I guess I will call Apple to get a good Disk 2, but in the meantime, can someone tell me what I'm missing?

I believe the iLife apps and also the additional printer drivers are on Disk 2 and 3. It sounds like you got a duff disk 2 of which there was a batch IIRC (from MacFixIt). Apple should replace it.

Yes, it's all about upgrading the iLife. You are missing nothing. Yes, you should call the apple to follow up on CD 2 - to have it replaced.

Good luck
