I finished my upgrade to Panther this evening (waited for 10.3.1) and I find that the command key does not work occasionally in the Finder. Fairly often, command keys will just quit working - command delete, command N, etc. When I pull down a menu, it will start working again. Later on it will quit working. I have yet to nail down any commonality, but I've been doing so much set up it's been hard.
I did an archive and install, but did not migrate anything over - not even network settings. I spent today merging in files, rebuilding some trivial UNIX things (wget, frotz, etc), and migrating my home folder back in. Cleaned out a lot of cruft along the way (FaxSTF, fink, Virex, APE, lots of old preferences and app support folders for apps I don't use any longer). Not running any haxies or themes. Did run CandyBar to replace my icons (but I believe this was happening prior to that). I tried to set one system-wide keyboard shortcut to an item on the script menu - didn't take, and I removed it.
Anyone else seen or heard of anything like this?
Also, am I imagining it or did the Finder used to have a "Command ~" for cycling windows and it no longer does?
