...in linux preference can be set so that middle mouse clicking on a window's menubar will send to the back window position, which is handy.

I know that in osX if you command-click on a back window it cam be moved without being brought to the number 1 position, but...

not that i know of. but, i'm no CLI guru either.

might i suggest a couple of other options:

windowshade

also, i've mapped my wheel button to exposé's default F9, which is pretty handy, too.
if it aint' broke, break it.
