While playing with some software I somehow managed to replace the Network icon, the lifesaver donut, with some random graphic from who knows where. I'd like to change it back. So I have two problems: 1) how to copy the real icon to the clipboard 2) how to paste it into the Get Info window given that even with admin access I dont' have permission to make changes there. Or is there another approach?
TIA for any help with this.

JT
Now that everyone knows it's just a matter of waiting for 1.20.09.

I screwed up a system icon once too and thought the same things ("where can I get a copy of the real icon to paste back over"). What eventually fixed it ? I went into the get info window, selected the (wrong) icon, and then "cut" (Ctrl-X). When I did that .. the correct icon automagically reappeared. Guess since its a system thing, the icon just defaulted to "normal" when I cut out the custom icon.

Give it a try.
