Have you tried Cocktail 3.1? It has an option to force empty the trash. I assume you are an admin on your machine.

there are lots of ways to get rid of it.....use terminal commands, unlock all the files and then empty trash.....or try a simple utility like Trash It! or Maintain (which also has a lot of other handy features....)

Holding Option while emptying the Trash works too in most cases.

I thought that too, but after some serious cutting back on my expenses, and the iminent sale of my Dell computer, I will soon have enough for a new Powerbook. They sell eMacs for $799. You can afford one.

I can't even afford a $300 Bondi Imac on ebay. Let alone an eMac. Besides, the eMacs suck, I used one at an apple store and they are very uncomfortable. I'm shooting for an iBook G4 12".

Yah... You don't need a third party software program unless you're incapable of holding down the option key...

I like the eMacs. I really do not like LCD displays... Always have to worry about the posability of pixles dieing...

The eMac is the cheepest way to get a G4 with a superdrive... The only real difference I can see from the origional iMac's are that it has a larger, flatter screen, and that it has a G4 processor...

What's uncomfortable? The keyboard? Virtually any USB keyboard will work, so take your pick.

This is very easily done in the terminal. Assuming your aplication is in Applications and is in a folder called Windows Media Player,
all you need to do is type (or copy and paste) rm -rf /Applications/Windows\ Media\ Player. Voila (There are no spaces after the forward slash and one space after each back slash). Here is an excellent link http://osxfaq.com/Tutorials/Learning...Trash/index.ws
Not compatible with Windows

No, the unit itself. I didn't like the way the screen/box felt. It felt a bit bulky. Kinda like the fat kid that everyone picks on.
