Path Finder !
Yes it is. Shame on you Apple. The new Finder is the worst part of Panter, it is a step backward.
Call Cocoatech.com, offer $1B dollars and take the actual Finder to the wastebasket.
Path Finder is in my opinion the coolest app for OS X out there.
Sam
PS: I'm not addicted to Cocoatech.com. Simply, they did it.

If I had a billion dollars I wouldn't give it to these people. Having said that, I'm going to now check out Path Finder.

Sorry I was resoning in terms of old Italian Lira not Euro/Dollar.
$1M. But $500m would be fine for them
Anyway it is a very cool app. And as I said: Apple must stop spending $m in R&D if these are the results, focus on METADATA instead. Why? Read Ars article and, as I do frequently, try to handle hundred/thousand of files in a folder.

Sam,
You handle thousands of files in single folders, you know more about interface design than Apple.
But you don't know how to add an image to a thread?

YES, THEY DID IT! They took a perfectly simple idea of browsing storage medias and turned it into a complicating process using a bloated tool called Path Finder. Hurray!

...And PathFinder has nothing whatsoever to do with metadata. The new finder isn't perfect, but it's a step in the right direction. And IMO, PathFinder has always appeared to be a hodgepodge of features that did not make a consistent file browsing interface.
The finder in Panther is spiffy
