Hi all, all that stands before me from upgrading to Panther is being able to basically bring over all my info on Quicken 2003 (which came free with my iMac) to a new account/Panther system. I really only have 1 bank account and 2 credit cards but would hate to start all over. does anyone know a easier way to transfer my data and info intact into the new system? advice is greatly appreciated, and thanks for all the help i received with Mail.app on my previous thread

I think all you need is to bring over the Quicken data file and that should be it. I could be wrong but I think all you user settings and accounts are contained in that data file. That's all I needed to drag over to my G5 from my G4. Try that first and see if it does the trick before getting rid of your old quicken install and lose the data.

When you launch Quicken it will ask you for the old file and open it. I've done this, you shouldn't have a problem.

I'd help you, but you said that I couldn't invite Jerry to the party. No matter though, I've still got cubed ice for my party.

Cool, I had to transfer over almost all the files (Quicken Data, Backup folder in the 'Applications' folder, and all the Preference files) and it went smoothly, err sorta, haha. Thanks for all the help!
