Hi:
Currently running 10.2.3 without problems. Photoshop CS requires at least 10.2.4. Do you guys think I'm safe upgrading to 10.2.8? I hate to upset a stable setup and not yet ready to make the leap to Panther.
I have a Yikes G4 - any info would be appreciated!
Thanks

I was hanging low with 10.2.6 for a while, but I just said, "what the hey" yesterday and things are running smoothly.

I would go with Panther. No issues here with Photoshop CS.

Since apple released the fixed 10.2.8, there have been no issues here. Go for it. (Just make sure you backup first... also, repair your permissions first too).

A lot of people had problems with the first 10.2.8 update, which was then pulled. A new update which did not cause problems was then posted. I did not have any problems with 10.2.8.

Ironically, I didn't have any problems with the first release of 10.2.8 (or maybe didn't use it long enough to notice problems) but after updating to the second release, I still have periodic problems with waking from sleep on my 12" PowerBook Rev A. I'd recommend sticking with 10.2.6, but YMMV.
