...well, i´ve got that SquirrelMail-UWIMAP-SSL-Fetchmail-Postfix Setup running in 10.2.8 (Client)

So far it works rather fine...

mboxes are stored in ~/user/Library/Mail/Mailboxes , Fetchmail gets the Mail from the ISP´s POP-Server, Postfix writes it to the mbox and bang!

The mbox-file is all right, being accessible via postfix/webmin. But neither SquirrelMail nor Apple´s Mail can be bothered to read it. They keep telling me that "INBOX" is empty...

I tried renaming the mailbox to "Inbox" ...same result... remaming the file to "INBOX.mbox" makes it readable but results in the file no more being the default inbox...


this is driving me nuts...

any helpful advice...?

stupid me figured out myself:

never ever mess with the config-files if you don´t know what you´re doing:
Postfix has to write the new mails to /var/mail

...not to /Users/username/...

works now
