G4, 1 GHz, 512 MB, 10.2.8 connected via ethernet to eMac G4 700 running Proofmaster Adesso RIP controlling an Epson Stylus Photo 1290.

---

I have several printers in my Print Center, that I no longer use ... some are "pink", some not. For some reason I can't delete them. Why? How?

Also ... the printer I use now is printing (in bold). If I double-click it, it opens and I can see the jobs in the queue. The one that is currebtly printing has been printing for 3 days. I can't stop it, I can't delete it. I can't even delete the printer and start over. I can't do anything and it's blocking for all other printing.

How do I get rid of it?

I have admin rights. I have tried to log in as root and delete it without any luck. I have tried to delete all the prefs in user/home/library/ but it's still there ...

What the f*** shall I do? Some terminal thing? I have no experience with that.

Thanks in advance

You could try to use Print Center Repair, which has a wide variety of options: as you are running Jaguar, it should work (the Panther version isn't ready, yet)...

You seem to have a few issues regarding print center, but I do know that the printers highlighted in pink are "shared" printers - that is, printers connected to other computers on your network. I think OS X "remembers" printers. For example, the reason you can't select them is because you are currently not connected to the computers connected to those printers. I'm guessing you connect to to at least two different networks -home vs work, or various points at work or university.

good luck!
