Install Flash 7 plug-in.

System Preferences->QuickTime->Plug-In->MIME settings turn off Flash.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Trash Safari and QT and re-install them. Or you could repair privledgesand see if that helps. The prefs might be corrupted which you could trash but I'm not sure if that works like it did in the 'olden' days of OS 9.x-

I think a re-install will fix it-

as for WMP, I never touch it. Maybe I'm missing out but I prefer it that way-

Do you have the same problem with say Camino ? if so the problem comes from QT and the other plug-ins, if not then Safari is the problem.
