Hi,

Weird, weird stuff is going on:

• In Address Book, some instances of what should be a space are replaced with the character ' ý '. Retyping a space doesn't change it, and it can't be deleted.

• In Konfabulator, after some hours of use, the New York Times headline text turns into gibberish, with all characters replaced with other ones, and spaces turned into hash (#) marks. Restarting the program fixes it.

• The same style gibberish occurs in Mail as well, and is also fixed by restarting the program.

I just switched from PC, and don't really know what to do. It's a aluminum PB 15" bought in English-speaking Canada running with only the US keyboard selected in International. I haven't selected any other languages in the past.

I thought perhaps this was related to an encoding issue (e.g. ISO(x) vs Unicode vs whatever) but I don't know how to go about fixing this behavior.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!
