I am using a dual 1ghz G4 on OS X 10.1.5 connected vial dial-up to the Internet. Is there any way to kick my modem off line when an incoming call comes in? Is there a third-party app made for this?We run a small business, and have two Macs always fighting for second phone line to keep first main line free for incoming calls. If I could just get kicked off when those incoming calls arrive, I could use the first main line and other Mac can use the secondary dedicated Internet line.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the PPP Options. I think there are options on what to do when there is an incoming call.

Your service provider has to support the v.92 protocol for your internet connection. That, along with call waiting, will allow you to suspend or disconnect your internet connection with an incoming call. It even displays who's calling before you choose whether or not to accept the call. One problem, it doesn't always reliably reconnect after you resume you connection, but most of the time it works.
