how to install panther ON jaguar

hii
is it safetly to install the panther over jaguar (the upgrade option)?? will it be incompability with programs?? need to know, because i am receiving my panther soon

Nah, it'd be piece of cake.. I did it several times with macs. It went just fine.

Many people have reported that performance isn't as good doing upgrade installs. There were also some other issues with upgrading, but these have been resolved largely with 10.3.1.
Personally, I'd recommend doing an archive and install if you aren't afraid of mucking about in library folders.

if you have the ability to back-up you data easily, then I'd do an erase and install.
If not, archive & install's the next best option
Upgrade is the least certain option to work, but I have seen it work on several systems with no problems whatsoever.
