Hey there.

I'm using an Apple ADB Extended Keyboard II with my Power Mac. And since it is so old, it doesn't have all the functionality of newer keyboards.

F keys F9 through F12 carry out OS X functions naturally, including all 3 Expose' functions and CD eject. However, none of my keys will carry out the volume control functions.

So, I was wondering if anybody could tell me if there is a way for me to assign, say... F1 and F2 to function as volume control keys?

You want to install an app to assign functions to the F-keys, and then bind two AppleScripts to control the volume.

I use Keyboard Maestro to control iTunes through AppleScripts. The Lite version is free.

As far as AppleScripts to control the volume, I don't know how to do this, but I imagine it shouldn't be too hard.
