I have OS X Jaguar, and everytime I put a music CD in(original and burned CD's), I get this message saying that this disc contains no volumes that the Mac OS can read, and I can't play my music. Anyone know what the deal is with this?
I have an MacBook, 15" monitor, 1 GIG ram, 120 gig internal hard drive, 500 gig external hard drive, and an iMac with 40 gig internal hard drive with iSight web cam. Using Mac OS 10.5 Leopard

Does this happen with every music CD you put into your machine, or only a specific one? Also, what model is your Mac?

This happens with all music cd's. I have one of the flat panel iMac's.

Just to clarify: It does NOT happen with CD-ROMs or DVDs?

Sounds like what happened to me. I got the same messages and a few days later it wouldn't even do that much...

Here is a thread about it on Apple's discussion boards.

If it's still under warranty you're lucky. If it's not under warranty you can decide if you want to shell out $500+ for the repair or buy something external.

Dunno what to say. I'm just surprised this hasn't been reported on.

If this only happens with music CDs, it's probably a softeare issue... If it happens with every disk you put into your machine, it sounds like your drive may need to be replaced...
