I used the burn feature in disk utility to burn a cd so that I can have multiple burns on one cd. This feature worked fine in jaguar but in panther (10.3.1) the disk images burn but they will not show up on the desktop when the cd is inserted or in the finder. I can see the cd in terminal under /volumes and in the disk utility program it shows the the sessions burned properly. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or could try to burn a multi session cd and tell me if you get this error. I have reproduced a couple of times but before I send a bug to apple I want to know if this occurs for others. Let me know what happens.

So has anyone replicated this or do most people just do only 1 session burns?

I didn't think you *could* do multi-session burns in OS X.

Yes and (I suspect) yes.

FWIW we regularly burn multi-session CDs using Toast in OS X to back up each month's financial info. to two CDs (one is kept offsite). So by year's end there are 12 sessions on both CDs. OS X regularly refuses to mount the additional sessions but... not to worry, that 'dead' OS 9 mounts all the sessions just fine Luckily all my Macs still can boot to OS 9 because after nearly three years OS X still can't do basic stuff that OS 9 did/does easily (e.g. mount muti-session CDs) -- DUH.

It worked great in 10.2, not as well anymore. You have to make a disk image before you burn anything and you have to use disk utility.
