Hmmm...
OS X has been acting up on me lately, regarding the placement of the cursor in textfields. Rather than being right behind the last letter typed, it will be slightly offset to the left or the right. This makes it really complicated to type...

I'm thinking this may have to do with a font kerning problem. I've been playing around with fontbook a bit, and may have deactivated some version of the font, or whatnot.

So...
a) Has anyone else had this? How did you solve it?
b) What font is used in standard textfields (ie Safari address bar, etc)?

Thanks,

Nick

I noticed this in Safari once. The cursor was placed one character to the right of where it was editing. I quit the application and restarted which solved it.

I don't know what caused it, I've not played with FontBook at all, and it hasn't happened since. Sorry to not be much more help than confirming that it does happen, but at least you're not alone.

YES...I'm seeing this frequently...mostly on my desktop, buy my sister's PB 12" was doing it tonight...so annoying...anyone else experiencing or got tips for how to fix? I'm not a FontBook user, so I don't think that is it...seems to happen mostly in Safari but then it kind of 'bleeds' over to other apps...?

My be Exposé related...?

I have noticed this problem as well. I have noticed it in mail and safari, and I'm noticing it right now as I type in this forum. Never seen this on prior versions. If anyone has a fix, please post. This problem is affecting my already poor typing skills!
