I have a PC user friend, with whom I exchange data CD's regularly ... however his CDRW went bad. So he changed it for a AOpen 52x24x52 CDRW.
Ever since, I haven't been able to read any of the CD's he produced.
Tried recording with Nero and iTunes (both as Data CD's ISO9660), on different speeds and with different media.

I just can't get my PowerMac to read the CD's (se sig. for specs).
So then I tried the CD's on my mom's iBook (700MHz Combo Drive). No luck.

Then I went to a friend's shitty PC, and it read it instantly ...

This had never happened to me. I'm sure the CD's are recorded as ISO 9660, and before he changed his CDRW drive, I could read his CD's with no problems ...

Anyone ?

Thnx

Why are you sure they are ISO9660? The only consistent problem I've had reading windows CDs is when they are not ISO9660.

because they where recorded as ISO (I personally saw to it), and others where recorded using iTunes which records data CD's as ISO 9660 ....

UPDATE:
The CD's where recorded as Disc-at-Once. When I recorded them as Track-at-Once, they where read perfectly on both Macs.

This discussion at Apple's boards was most useful.

Hope it helps.
