Hey all. I've got a 12" PB if that matters... my screen res is 1024x768 also if that matters.

Since I moved up to Panther, my desktop grid is seriously screwed up. Under the current grid column width, I should have 8 columns that I can align icons in, but the one to the left edge of the screen does not seem to be there. The right edge is fine and then it is ok up until I get to the left side and the grid just stops or something... Nothing will align to the left-most column; it just snaps back over to the right if I try to align something there. This did not happen under Jaguar. I did an update 1st and thought maybe that was it so I wiped the drive and did a clean install and still the same thing...

Also the grid spacing seems too wide. It was more narrow in jaguar... Not that I mind it that much but the width seems to have nearly doubled. If I change the icon size, it changes the spacing up & down but does nothing to the left & right spacing...

the left-right grid almost seems "stuck" or something and with no left-side column...

anyone else experiecing similar or know how I can fix this?

I have the same issues on my ibook. I also have a problem where the finder will put icons under the dock, making it impossible to get them without hiding the dock. Very irritating.
