Hello all,

I do not want to turn this into a Fink vs. Darwinports discussion.

For those using darwinports, a few questions:

1. Does a program being in darwinports only mean that it will successfully compile?

2. Is there a location where the functionality applicaitons found in darwinports can be reported? Should this go to the darwinports team or the team that writes the software?

3. What qualifies a program for entry into the darwinports tree?

Some of the programs that I have issues with are:

ettercap, ethereal, nessus and gtk

Let me know what your experiences are and no I don't want to switch to Fink, but thanks.

Cheers,

Dr_Doom

I have some issues with DarwinPorts, too. In a related thread, I can't get ImageMagick to work. Although it said that it has installed the correct libs.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
