Strange problems occur in real time:
I am in Region 2, want to see a Region-2 DVD but the DVDPlayer.app tells me that the region on my DVD doesn't fit to the one in my drive.
preliminary events:
I used to have my DVDROM changed to a bruner since more than a year, read: more than some OSX revisions.
I got some DVD from a friend so I put my dvd rom inside my g4/400 again.
DVD Player wasn't installed when I installed Panther, so a friend (also region 2
) sent it to me cause it seemed impossible to install it from the Panther original CDs.
VLC actually PLAYS the dvd - but just till after the trailer. I dunno if this is a vlc issue, I never tried to watch a dvd before.
The finder tends to hang badly when I try to see the contents of the DVD.
My drive has NOT yet frozen the RC status, this I am positive about that.
If I should really REINSTALL Panther just to get the possibility that DVD Player works correctly? Or is it just a silly .plist or .lib at the right place? Ideas?
