turning off icons on mounted servers?

Hi guys
is there anyway of making icons on mounted servers use just generic icons?

I connect to my home machine from work and vice versa, but my home machine only has 128K upstream, and navigating a window with lots of items takes forever!

I'm sure it's because it has to load the icon for every item in the window.
