In 10.3 sometimes Mail just hangs, stops downloading emails midstream. In the activity viewer I can see it downloading an email, then it times out and stops trying. At the top of the main window, it will say something like "downloading 3 of 59" and then never get to number 4.
If I click on Get Mail it will try again, sometimes download a few and then get stuck again ('downloading 7 of 52"), sometimes stay stuck on the same one.
If I wait a few minutes and try again, it sometimes grabs all the email, other times grabs just a few before getting stuck again.
It happens both at my office (wireless to a T1) and at my home (wireless to a DSL) and at a friends (ethernet to DSL) so I don't think it is a network connection issue.
My mail is delivered over POP using SSL encryption. No changes in it, and the problem never occurred in 10.2 or prior.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated
