Almost everyday day, after my Panther 1 ghz TiBook comes out of sleep, the mouse cursor seems to have been offset about half an inch. Hence, clicking a song in iTunes plays another one, like two rows down!

Anyone else experiencing the same phaenomenon?
Powerbook G4 1.2 Ghz, 1 Gb.

Not quite, but once a day, I get a sudden jumping of my mouse from one part of my monitor to another. Rather bizarre. 1.8 G5, 10.3.1.

I've noticed that my mouse jumps a little bit at seemingly random times for no apparent reason. Sometimes while gaming. Sometimes while in the Finder. Most of the time when I turn on the screensaver and I'm not far away from my mouse (or perhaps that's just when I most notice it).

To date, I have just resorted to unplugging my mouse when I activate the screensaver, or turning on the password requirement so it will stick.

But I agree that the mouse cursor jumping is damn annoying. Using 10.3.1 as well (although it happened in 10.3, too).

By any chance are you using USB Overdrive?

The offset mouse thing used to happen to me almost daily on my iBook 600 running 10.3 (And maybe 10.2 as well, cant remember now)
But it nearly always used to happen if I had been really working the cpu hard (Not difficult on a 600mhz G3). Once it wasnt working so hard, all seemed normal again.
I've not seen this happen on any of my G4's though.

I've also experienced the mouse jumping thing a few times. I think this is just an occasional glitch that happens when using an Apple pro optical mouse.
Doesnt happen too often. But is a pain when playing a game, as suddenly you find yourself looking in a completely different direction.. very disorientating!
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.
