I just upgraded my Alum PB 15 with an archive & install of Panther. I can see that my Airport is active and able to connect to our Airport network, but I cannot connect to the internet for some reason.
None of my settings should have been changed with archive and install should they? When I open Airport Admin Utility though, I doesnt seem to be able to locate the base station (its not the Extreme model, but the Graphite).
Airport seems to be working, but I get no internet. Everything was working fine under Jaguar. Any Ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

How does it connect to the Internet? It may be a matter of resetting the base station, resetting a cable modem, etc.

we get this error from time to time.

shortest surefire way to fix it is:

1) turn off airport in your PB
2) unplug & replug the power cable running into your base station
3) wait until the base station has completely restarted (flickering isn't in a regular pattern)
4) turn on airport in your PB

all should be well.

Not sure why it happens, only that it does from time to time.

After reading numerous posts on this subject both here and on Apples Discussions/Support forums many mentioned iChat as a culprit and suggested turning it off.
My iChat was not on to begin with so I selected Availible from the menu bar logged on and now I can connect to the internet wirelessly again under 10.3!
Go figure.
