I have a problem. I recently bought a superdrive (teac) and i have problems burning CDs and DVDs. When i want to burn cds with toast it says "The drive reported an error: Sense kez = Medium error Sence code = 0x73, 0x03"

When i want to burn dvds it says something like "The drive reported an error: buffer underrun 0x21,0,03"

Should i upgrade Toast? The dvd-rw is new so it should work ok.

Sounds like it's your media...are you using imitation media?

I also had that error previously. My experience told me there are 2 possible causes:

1. Media speed is not truly what it is. (i.e. a disc labeled for 24X but actually can burn at 16X only)
Solution: burn at lower speed.

2. Buffer Under run option is turned off. Solution: make sure it is checked.
