Ok, this is just a small thing, but it annoys me a lot... Every time I change the ending of files, it asks me if I really want to do that and the default button is "don't change the ending" which means I have to use the mouse.
I once saw the instructions to change the default button to "use new ending". Does anyone remember this, and if yes, does it work in 10.3 as well?

Thank you

You could use the ESC key in Jaguar to accept the new filename. This no longer works in Panther. If someone can come up with some kind of fix, that would be great

Doesn't turning on "Always show file extensions" banish that message forever? I never see it, at least!

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

I don't know about forever. But for the duration of that particular box being checked, yes.

Thanks for that tip!
The only tiny drawback is that in the column view, items are sorted differently than before, but I'll get used to that..
