I have run into a computer that has a 2,000 emails on it and 500 contacts in the address book. I can not very well save every single copy. And it is in OS9 trying to upgrade to OSX.

I tried just dropping the Mozilla folder into the libary folder on another machine with OSX where the other one sat. But it will not let me use te Profile.

Plus Netscape does not export the mail into anything usable, And it will not import it's own mail.

Plus I need to get the mail and address books into Mail.app or Entourage.

Please help I am going insane with this.

Please, I really need help in this. I can not upgrade the computer untill I can get the mail off of it. It is Mozilla sort of as Netscape was created with Mozilla so that could help ,

I tried to find Netscapes help line but all they offer is Pay phone service and no message board.

For emails, the key is that you have to first create a profile under Mozilla, setup an email account as normal. Afterwards, just copy the old email folder files to:
User\Library\Mozilla\Profiles\default\xxx.slt\Mail \name of email account\

Open up Mozilla mail and it should recoginze as new folders.

Hope this helps.

Why not use the Mail.app's import mailbox feature? Mail.app->File->Import Mailboxes

This is the correct answer.

You can also import your contacts from Netscape. I'm not sure if it's Mail or Address Book that does that.
