ok, i know how to share a folder from my pc so i can open it up on finder on my mac
but the question is..
how do i share a mac folder so that i can "mount" it on my pc?
mac osx 10.3.1
pc windows 2000

Turn on "Windows Filesharing" in the Sharing prefpane, then connect to your Mac from the Windows box.
By the way, MAC = media access code != Mac.

i have windows sharing on
but in windows, how do i connect to my mac?

I imagine you go to a window with a URL field, and put in smb://your.mac's.ip. You're the guy with the Windows machine, not me

the address would probably be something like, \\192.168.0.102\yourmaccomputername
then, setup the network in windows control panel.

Beware of the bug where you turn Windows sharing off, it doesn't actually stop sharing until you reboot.
The correct way is as ^^^ wy4tt indicated.

forgot that my shortname was diffrent from my log-in name and that's what was makin` me confused.
