Hi all,

I have installed ServerLogistics' Apache 2 package and want to use it instead of the builtin apache apple provides.

The problem is I cannot allow sharing on port 80 unless the old apache is running. And I do not want to turn my Firewall off completely. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance,
_nmk

All you need to do is set up a new rule. Turn off the websharing in the Sharing prefs. panel. Then under the Firewall Tab, add new, then scroll down the list that appears, and choose, other. Then just type in the name you want for it (Apache Web) and in the fields, put in 80, 427 and that's you.

You can now turn off the built-in Apache server, and the websharing firewall setting, and use your new one.
Rockstar Games - better than reality.

Yep, this should do it. Now I have two identical entries, and it just conflicts with my aesthetics.

Thanks.
