For the longest time I have not been able to print to my Epson StylusColor880 from any 3rd party applications (photoshop, word, etc...). It would print fine from any native apps, such as Preview. What's actually happening is that the printer is not showing up in the print dialog, it just says "no printer selected" and gives no choice for my printer. BTW, the printer is set up correctly in the Print Center.

So just today, I created a new user and tried printing under that new user. It worked perfectly, the printer shows up in the print dialog like it should. It seems as though something is corrupted somewhere in my user folder/settings/prefs.

So, what exactly do I look for? Is it the printing prefs, some kind of user core pref or something?
TIA

You could visually inspect the .plist files to make sure that each one looks roughly like all the rest (i.e. they should all be human readable and not have any really bizarre gibberish in them). The other option is that you could systematically remove files from ~/Library/Preferences/ until you find the one that makes the difference.

Think I figured out what it is. Seems LittleSnitch is conflicting with the PrintCenter or something. When you turn LittleSnitch off, all apps can print fine. I will report the bug.....
