Has anyone got it to work ? I have not, please tell me how you did it. I end up with this in Console when I try to log in on Usermin (I've tried MANY thing, without Authen:AM, and with, recompile everything, blah blah, with usermin PAM (/etc/pam.d) file, and without. I think you get the point.

Code:
Dec 6 01:02:51 localhost perl: PAM unable to resolve symbol: pam_sm_chauthtok Dec 6 01:02:51 localhost perl: PAM unable to resolve symbol: pam_sm_open_session Dec 6 01:02:51 localhost perl: PAM unable to resolve symbol: pam_sm_close_session Dec 6 01:03:01 localhost /usr/bin/perl: PAM unable to resolve symbol: pam_sm_chauthtok Dec 6 01:03:01 localhost /usr/bin/perl: PAM unable to resolve symbol: pam_sm_open_session Dec 6 01:03:01 localhost /usr/bin/perl: PAM unable to resolve symbol: pam_sm_close_session
New users in Webmin doesn't work either, just the admin which was set on the install.

The supplied webmin or usermin pam file contained this:

Code:
#%PAM-1.0 auth required pam_unix.so shadow nullok account required pam_unix.so password required pam_unix.so shadow nullok use_authtok session required pam_unix.so
I found out that this where the reason for the login not to work. Now, I have not put this out to anyone yet, still private. But I took what was in /etc/pam.d/ftpd and copied it to /etc/pam.d/webmin

Code:
# login: auth account password session auth sufficient pam_securityserver.so auth required pam_deny.so account required pam_permit.so password required pam_deny.so session required pam_permit.so
This worked ??

Could anyone please tell me if that will lead to some errors or security issues ?
