Hard to help if we don't know what the errors are.

That'd be a cocoa frontend for irssi.. kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me. I just managed to compile irssi on 10.3.1 actually...
Make sure you have glib installed: ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk/v1.2/glib-1.2.10.tar.gz
Oh, you'll need pkg-config in order to get irssi to configure correctly: http://www.freedesktop.org/software/...-0.15.0.tar.gz
Then make sure you configure irssi with the right host type: ./configure powerpc-apple-darwin7.0.0
This allowed me to compile irssi-0.8.8, now if only I could figure out how to connect to secure servers.
edit: I guess connecting to servers is as easy as /server -ssl irc.ssl-server.net

My bad. I wasn't aiming at being counter-productive. I figured since there is a GUI discussed there that folks there may have tips on compiling the code they are writing a frontend for.

Ah. At least you tried to help.
irssi is pretty sweet when you pair it with 10.3's Terminal.app's Meta key emulation. You can use option-1 through 9 to switch windows rather than typing /window 1, etc.
Using the BitchX theme from irssi.org's themes page there's almost nothing left in BitchX that I miss.
