Hi all, I'm a newbie to Mac and just got an iBook G4 two days ago...
When I tried to replace the wallpaper in some temporary folder, I
selected the "Choose Folder..." icon on the list in the system
preferences window and choosed a folder to add into the list. But
when I found that I choosed a wrong folder, I couldn't remove it from
the list... Please teach me what to do to delete the unwanted items.
Thanks ...

It will only save one folder for me when I choose a folder. So when I pick another one, it replaces the last one.
So just try picking the correct folder.

I believe you need to delete the following preference file:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
"~" is your Home Folder.

Oh! So it's really quite intuitive,
I guess I was thinking too much...
It must because I've been using Windoz for years...
Mac is much better...
Thanks for your helps...

i dunno if what i suggested fixed your problem. Anyways, we don't refer to desktop pics as wallpaper. Ummm, we call them desktop pictures :-D

On topic with the title can someone confirm this annoying bug with the desktop and screen saver preferences pane.
Open your system prefs and select screen savers.
Quit system prefs.
Right click/control click the desktop and select change desktop background.
Does it take you to screen savers like it does to me instead of being smart? I did select change desktop picture not select screen saver after all.
Its not a big deal but I change pictures frequently and its annoying.

Thanks for trying it out, its good to know I'm not going crazy.
Now if they could just fix this along with the wacky icon bug, panther would be perfect.
