yeah I kinda... accidentally deleted my printer from the list in print centre... and now when I try and add it back i doesn't work. I just get the beach ball and when I go to force quit it appears in red text. I already fixed permissions didn't fix anything.

You can try this program which claims to fix many Print Centre related bugs that crop up over time, there might be others but this was the first that popped into my mind.

You might try using Print Center instead of Print Centre. Print Centre is jealous of his American cousin and refuses to work just to spite him.
