My 17" iMac has been doing the oddest thing, it goes into Screen Saver mode at random. I can leave for a day, come back and its fine, or i can leave for class come back and the screen saver is active. Now when it is active, after pressing a button to get out of it, the screen goes black and nothing happens, i have to restart my computer via the restart button, it is the damndest thing! no screen saver prefs are on, its not set to auto come on, nothing. When i do turn the screen saver on though to lock my screen, when i come back, its never a problem to get out of the locked screen.
what is the problem?! why is it doing this randomly!
