Help!!
I have designed a Christmas card to send to all my friends. I plan to print on A4 which I will just fold twice to make the card.
Using Appleworks:
I set my page margins initially to 1cm and calculated exact object positioning so the design on the front of the card is in perfect allignment when the paper is folded.
Used the save as pdf function. Opened in Acrobat and all looked cool.
E-mailed the pdf to my college account so I could open in Acrobat (Windows) and print on the nice college laser HP.
Everything still looked cool on screen in Acrobat.
But when I printed, the printer didn't seem to like 1cm margins and had pushed my object inwards by 0.6cm.
So I figured 0.6cm is the minimum margin for the printer and I made adjustments accordingly. The new document again looked in perfect alignment on screen, but once more when I printed, the printer has pushed everything off centre.
What on earth is happening here and how can I fix it?
