I was just wondering if anyone has any good resources or info for working with X-windows in OS X? I want to play around with it, possibly get GNOME on it but I'm not having any luck finding ANY good documentation.

Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest wating for gnome 2.4. There are some issues with some libraries that need to be resolved.

get fink and then type:

fink install bundle_gnome

As far as I am aware... I'm nowhere near my mac, so i can't check

... Fink's bundle-gnome for Panther is, anyway, still the old 1.4 version of GNOME: maybe it would be better to wait for the new 2.4 version - which should come rather soon, hopefully...
