All of the posts about Spambouncer and/or sendmail filters stop around this past March.

Wondering what the latest scoop in on using something that presumably is procmail based. At this point I could get by with some simple home-grown procmail filters for prescription drugs (only spam I get so far on the acct I care about.. knock wood), but I wanted to investigate more thorough systems.

I'd appreciate a general install walkthru if possible. I am already using simple fetchmail and procmail filters, sending the result to /var/mail/$USER, as well as having impad running with Squirrelmail for on-the-road access.

At home, I use elm as my mail reader, so I need a solution that is NOT tied in with any particular mail proggy (ie. Apple's Mail).

Spambayes is the gold standard for Bayesian filters. It's really quite amazing.
