For some reason X11 stopped working. It starts to launch but immediately quits. Is there any way to reinstall it without reinstalling Panther?

I believe it's on either Install Disk 2 or 3, can't remember which. You can just mount the disk and look inside the packages folder for the X11 package and install it that way.

BTW- I'm kind of going off the top of my head here, as I don't have my install Disks with me to verify, but I do know that this is possible without 3rd party software…

The solution is NOT to reinstall X11. I'd bet anything that the problem is within a preference in your own home folder.

Whenever you have a problem like this, the first thing to do is create a new user account and try it there. If it doesn't happen, then it's a problem in your local account settings.

I thought it was on the X-code Tools CD (4th Panther CD). But I have not checked.
