itunes skipping in 10.2.8

	itunes 4.1(52) 10.2.8(6R73) P/Mac Q/Silver Dual 1Ghz, 1.25GB 74GB/51GB available Songs are intermittently 'skipping' or stalling for a fraction of a second especially when other apps. appear to be processor intensive. (Menu Meter) I don't remember this being such a problem in 10.2.4. I was planning to upgrade to Panther & thought that this may 'solve' the problem. Anyone experienced this? or better still has a fix?
