I have some files that were encrypted with the encrypter in OS 9 (don't know the English name for it), and I'd prefer if I wouldn't have to start up Classic just to get access to them. Does anybody know if OS X has the ability to decrypt them? I searched the forum and Apple help and found nothing on this subject.

Same here... I don't have classic installed but still need to decrypt some files...

Why don't you just download some new porn from the net, rather than decrypting your old stash?

Nope, OS X can't decrypt them. You'll have to use Apple File Security in OS 9 to do it. However, once decrypted, you can then create an encrypted disk image (.dmg) in OS X and store your files on that instead.
