I updated to 10.3.2 Quicktime 6.5, Battery update and now bluetooth is not avalible. In the menu bar(the bluetooth Icon) it has the bluetooth icon but with a jagged line thru it, when I click on it I get a menu and nothing but Bluetooth:Not Avalible. When i launch the bluetooth app(setup asst. it says that the bluetooth hardware is not found. HHHHMMMMMMM!

I restarted didn't fix it. I Zapped the Pram still nothing. I'm running version A 12" powerbook. No hacks or werid apps, no themes.

Thanks for the help in advanced,

Have a good one.

With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

Ahh! I have the same problem on my 15 Al 1.25 PowerBook. How weird? I don't use bluetooth but something obviously isn't right!

Can anyone help?

How does the icon look, occupied or busy?
What if you have a look in System Preferences/Bluetooth?

A friend of mine who has a TiBook with Bluetooth USB plug does have a working Bluetooth setup, but can not turn it off (no option "Turn Bluetooth Off" in menu bar) but it still works.

Try this:

Reboot your machine, holding down Apple-Opt-O-F. This will boot you into open firmware.

From here, you can reset your hardware controllers. To do this, type:

reset-nvram

and hit return. you should get "ok".

then type:

set-defaults

and hit return. Again, you should get "ok".

then:

reset-all

and hit return.

this will reboot your machine.
