hii

i have some questions about panther versus jaguar.

i have made an upgrade install when i installed the panther.. now i am thinking of to format the HD, because maybe the whole computer will be faster after an clean install. is that true, and if so, how big will the speed increase be?? what difference will i be able to notice comparing to an upgrade vs clean install??

if i am going to format the HD, i want to backup some files, and that with a help from my 20gb ipod.. my question is, if i use my ipod to backup files on it, won't it get lost on my 'new' formatted computer??

what do i have to think about to save, backup.. the computer have only one user (me) and i am ofcourse the admin. i want to save all photos, mails, safari booksmarks, some program settings and so on. where do i have to 'dig' in the library??

thanxs..

Back up the entire Users folder and any third-party application that you have installed. The Users folder has everything that pertains to *you* (documents, bookmarks, preferences, etc.)
