I would like to share USB printers connected to my dual G4 powermac running OS 10.2.8 with a PC running Windows 2000.

It appears that a full version of Samba is installed on the Mac. I was wondering if anybody has tried manually configuring the Samba configuration file (/etc/smb.conf) to enable printer sharing.

Does this work? What settings did you use in the file? Do I need to modify any other files, like init.rc?
